Cécile Richard is a graphic designer, zine maker and game designer living in Melbourne whose most well-known works include award-winning short Bitsy games novena, ENDLESS SCROLL, and UNDER A STAR CALLED SUN.

Indigo Bailey (22) is a writer and nonfiction editor who lives below the mountain kunanyi in lutruwita/Tasmania. She recently completed her Honours thesis about futurity and care in feminist autotheory at the University of Tasmania, graduating with a University Medal. Her writing has appeared in First Word and Rough Cut, and she currently enjoys witnessing children’s sprawling imaginations while working in a primary school. Nadire Capar is a writer, editor and artist living in the West. Her writing takes the form of short stories, vignette, and poetry. It can best be described as writing that explores the so-depressing-it-is-laugh-to-your-therapist-funny, cultural phenomenon and the modern experience. Stay tuned for the novel. Aries Gacutan (20) is a Filipino writer with strong opinions about how messed up it is that they have a body. They like fantasy novels, experimental digital literature, and trying to convince their non-writer friends that poetry is good, actually, I promise, just give it a shot. They've been published in places like Voiceworks, Farrago, #EnbyLife and Baby Teeth Journal, and participated in Express Media's Toolkits: Digital Storytelling program in 2021. They have a Twitter (@TheAriesZone) and Instagram (@the.aries.zone), both of which they eschew in favour of unprompted 1am Discord infodumps.

Vivienne Guo (22) is a Chinese-Australian writer and non-fiction editor for Voiceworks, based on the unceded Dharug land. She thinks and writes often about resistance, dream-worlds and queer myths. When not at the pub or watching classic Barbie movies, Vivienne can be found crocheting bucket hats or complaining about capitalism. Faye Jarrett (23) is a poet and visual artist residing in Sydney. Their work has been published in Voiceworks, Vertigo and ITCH magazine, as well as their own zine Post Poems Collective @postpoemscollective. Their self published poetry can be found through @slaveacidbitch. Their practice is cruel and erotic and fuelled by hopeless joy. They are interested in making everything but sense.

Helen Karakulak (23) is a journalist and editor living and working on Kaurna land. She edits non-fiction for Voiceworks and her work has appeared in The Saturday Paper, Archer, CityMag and more. Her feature writing & podcasts often revolve around identity, diversity & injustice with a pop culture flair. Helen has a Bachelor of Journalism & Bachelor of Arts from UniSA. Joel Keith (20) is a writer and musician living on unceded Wurundjeri land. Their writing has appeared in Island, Antithesis, Babyteeth, The Big Issue and elsewhere. In 2021 their story ‘A Case of You’ was shortlisted for the Linda Cowan Youth Award, and in 2022 their review of ‘Cold Enough for Snow’ won a Fitzpatrick. Aliyah Knight (20) is a writer and filmmaker whose work explores queer identity and expression, particularly through horror and sci-fi. Aliyah is currently completing a BA in screen production at AFTRS, and samples of her work both on and off-screen can be found on aliyahknight.com. She tweets @a1iyahswrld.

Chantelle McColl (24) is a writer and editor based in Melbourne, Narrm, who specialises in video game analysis and experimental writing. Her work has appeared on ScreenHub Australia, Byteside, Checkpoint Gaming and Explosion Network on the wonderful intricacies of narrative exploration in games. Shania O’Brien (21) is a writer and artist who lives and creates on the unceded land of the Cadigal people. She is a fiction editor at Voiceworks, and has previous experience editing a number of student newspapers and publications including Honi Soit, ARNA, Zami, and more. She has also worked on the editorial teams of publishing houses and broadsheet newspapers. When she isn’t writing she can be found knitting scarves, painting wisteria, and reading in the sun.

Helena Pantsis (22, she/they) is a writer, student, and artist from Naarm, Australia. A full-time student of creative writing, they have a fond appreciation for the gritty, the dark, and the experimental. Tuyen Pham (19) is a writer, editor and second-year medical student. When she is not studying the human body, hunting for vintage clothing or questioning her career choices, she is neck-deep in an ensemble of fiction projects spanning from novellas and poetry to big-budget screenplays. She dreams of one day seeing her work play out on the big screen. Until then, she hopes to learn more about editing, publish her short-form writing and continue to hone her craft.

Olivia Shenken (23) is a writer and editor from Melbourne. She’s interested in Jewish perspectives in sci-fi/fantasy, and is currently working on her Yiddish. While completing her undergrad studies in literature and linguistics she was an editor at Lot’s Wife, and now edits fiction for Voiceworks. Her short fiction and essays have been published in Verge, On the Street: A Melbourne Anthology, Voiceworks, and elsewhere. She tweets at @oliviashenken.

Christy Tan lives in Melbourne on unceded Wurundjeri land. Her writing has appeared in Cordite Poetry Review, Australian Poetry's Tell me like you mean it, Runway Journal, Going Down Swinging, The Suburban Review, and Peril Magazine, amongst others. She is a 2022 Hot Desk Fellow at the Wheeler Centre and has performed at the Digital Writers' Festival, Emerging Writers' Festival, National Young Writers' Festival and Writing & Concepts Lecture Series.

Stella Theocharides (20) is a writer and editor living on unceded Wurundjeri land. They are currently completing a BA in English and Theatre Studies at the University of Melbourne and editing poetry for Voiceworks. Tharidi Walimunige (22) is a Melbourne-based writer and poetry editor for Voiceworks. She has recently completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Creative Writing and Screen & Cultural Studies. Tharidi has a passion for writing poetry, short fiction, screenplays and film reviews. Her favourite things to read and write involve fantasy, myth and heroics. She has written and edited for publications including n-SCRIBE, Farrago Magazine, Myriad Magazine and Judy’s Punch.

Donnalyn Xu (24) is a Filipino-Chinese writer, poet, and artsworker living on Darug land. Her writing often explores the intimacy of loneliness and other strangely ordinary feelings. She has had work published in Overland, Peril, Voiceworks and Cordite, amongst others. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours Class I and the University Medal) in Art History and English from the University of Sydney.


Bella Battersby (24) is a Melbourne based writer and editor currently finishing their BA in Creative Writing at RMIT. They specialise in Psychogeography and Queer theory. In 2020, they took out The Darebin Mayor's Writing Award. You can find them posting bizarre snippets of interactive fiction on their Instagram @mxbellabatman.

Lara Fielding (La) is based in Narrm. Their work has been published or is forthcoming in Fence Books, UN and virtualgoodsdealer. They are a poetry and digital editor for Voiceworks and present on 3CR Community Radio. La likes to make and code noise, idle in the sun and begin (again).

River Gammon (23) is a writer, reader and occasional programmer living on unceded Wurundjeri land. They’re concerned with the interplay between queerness and religion, and how to find the sacred in the everyday. They edit for Voiceworks Online.

Sam Himawan (22) is an Indonesian writer based in Melbourne, currently studying for their Masters in Publishing, Editing, and Creative Writing at the University of Melbourne. They are especially interested in queer representations in various media formats and are always excited to see the introduction of new queer characters and voices.

Tracy Hwang (19) is a writer, editor and bookseller from Melbourne. She edits fiction for Voiceworks and studies Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT. Her favourite things to read are fantasy novels, stories about diaspora and translated fic. When she isn’t feeding her soul with words she feeds it with lots and lots of tea.

Elijah Kelly (23) is a Hobart-based writer and editor who doesn’t know what to do with

himself since miraculously surviving his Honours year. He edits fiction for Voiceworks and is

particularly passionate about highlighting voices from queer and disabled communities. To

deal with his chaotic neutral energy, he tweets sporadically @severelyqueerly.

Tiia Kelly (22) is a writer living in Naarm, often found looking at boilersuits on the internet. She writes about everyday performance, online ephemera, and the influence of pop culture in how we construct our identities. Her work has appeared in Overland, Kill Your Darlings, Scum Mag, The Big Issue, and elsewhere. In 2021, she participated in the Melbourne International Film Festival’s Critics Campus and was shortlisted for the Deakin University Nonfiction Prize. She is a nonfiction editor for Voiceworks, and you can find her on Twitter @tiiakel.

Zhiyou Low (23) is a poetry editor at Voiceworks. He also edits for Farrago, Inkspot and OmniSci Magazines, and studies English & Theatre and Creative Writing at the University of Melbourne.

Aeva Milos (19) is a Naarm-based writer and photographer, currently completing her BA in Media and English at the University of Melbourne. She is especially interested in exploring sticky/gross/gooey human emotions through experimental and mixed-media forms of art. In her spare time, you can find her people-watching, taking film photos of her friends and wandering through secondhand bookstores. Seb Petroni (20) is a writer and editor based in Meanjin. In 2021, he completed a BA in Linguistics and Writing at the University of Queensland, and that same year, joined Corella Press as an editor for the book From Shadow Land and Other Ghost Stories. Seb enjoys editing fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry for several online journals, and beta-reading manuscripts from the Able suite of programs run by the Queensland Writers Centre. When Seb isn’t reviewing submissions, he can be found reading, writing, doodling, and daydreaming.

Shivani Prabhu (21) is a Melbourne-based writer and editor who is graduating soon with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Journalism, and Creative Writing, from Deakin University. Her work has appeared in Rabbit Journal and South Asian Today, and she is shortlisted for the Judith Rodriguez Prize 2021. Svetlana Sterlin (23) is a screenwriter, poet, and prose writer based in Meanjin, where she completed a BFA, contributes to Our Culture Magazine and interns with The Suburban Review. She has writing in Meanjin, Cordite, Voiceworks, the 2022 Slinkies anthology, the anthology Within/Without These Walls (AndAlsoBooks), and elsewhere. Liên Ta (22) is a trans autistic Vietnamese Australian editor and creative based in Naarm (Melbourne). He writes experimental memoirs retelling his parents’ stories and makes excellent coffee. She shares her works and is incredibly funny on her Instagram, @comfykino.

Rhea Thomas (21) is a writer, editor and designer. Their work has been published in Rough Cut, Honi Soit, 614 Mag and more. Rhea has recently been dabbling in designing and has been working as a graphic designer for Gel Mag. They are currently putting together a magazine focusing on media memories and technology. LinLi Wan (23) is a Chinese-Malaysian-Australian reader, editor and (occasional) writer based in Meanjin. She has a Bachelor of Arts/Law and a Masters of Writing, Editing and Publishing from UQ. Her work was shortlisted for the Deakin University Non-Fiction Prize in 2021. Lin is a Trainee Editor at Pantera Press and edits fiction for Voiceworks. She is passionate about stories and storytellers and tweets about both @linliwan_.


Joanne Zou (22) is an occasional writer who lives and thinks on unceded Wurundjeri land. She is inspired by pop music, the world around her, and connections between people. They edit poetry for Voiceworks and tweet @jofi_beats.
